The study also revealed that inadequate financing by both state and federal governments does not contributes to the under-development of Igalamela Odolu LGA. The study thereby recommend that the roles played by the local governments can be said to be very successful. Though, there is need for the government to increase their function capacity of these projects and programmes to be able to cover every area of the state. Also, the government should always maintain a balance in development both in urban and rural areas of the state to minimize migration. Finally, the local government as grassroot government is increasingly challenging. Because of this, there is need for the federal allocation to be increased and has to go straight to the local government account to avoid interference by the state government and caretakership system should be stopped, by so doing, it will go a long way in having more developmental projects.
